Watch on your VR headset

Many VR video players on standalone headsets can mount a WebDAV server as a network source. Connect it to ExtMatrix and play large 4K/8K VR videos straight from your storage — no transfers, no cables, no filling up the headset.

  1. 1

Put on your headset and open a VR video player that supports WebDAV (look for "Network", "Add server" or "WebDAV" in its menu).

  2. 2

Add a new WebDAV server and enter the address, your username and your WebDAV password shown on this page.

  3. 3

Browse your ExtMatrix folders and pick a video — it streams directly, with no need to download it to the headset first.

Connect from other devices

Windows

In File Explorer, right-click "This PC" → "Map network drive…" → "Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures", then enter the address.

macOS

In Finder, choose Go → Connect to Server… (⌘K), enter the address and click Connect.

Phones & tablets

Use any file manager or media player app with WebDAV support and add the address as a new server.

Infuse

In Infuse, choose Add Files → Add Share → WebDAV, then enter the address, your username and your WebDAV password. Works on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.

IINA

On a Mac, connect to the address in Finder first (⌘K), then open videos from the mounted drive with IINA for smooth playback of large files with subtitles.
